Apache not responding on XP

Hello, I am running Apache 2.0.52 with PHP 5.02 on XP Home. It only
serves the host computer and one other in a LAN.

It has been running normally with fast responses until recently, at
which point it doesn't seem to deliver pages to the browser (the
browser runs it's progress indication stating it is "waiting for
localhost"). On stopping and (re)starting the server, it will load a
single page, but will not respond to subsequent requests.

I would appreciate any help.
