Does Apache support COM?

Does Apache support COM (Component Object Model)?

I have a Cold Fusion application that connects to the Microsoft Word
Spelling Engine by creating a COM object. It works fine on IIS, but I'm
having problems on Apache. I get an "unspecified error".
