Hello
I am having a problem with a user accessing W2K Terminal Server who has a temporary license that is about to expire. He uses RDC to access our Terminal Server from his Macintosh PowerBook. There are several problems that I have run into and I hope you can help me with them. A) The Terminal Server licensing was installed on our Primary Domain Controller and not the Terminal Server. When I open it I can see that he and four other computers have Temporary licenses and that the Licensing for terminal services is unlimited (Per Device). Also the temp license is assigned to him whereas the other ones are assigned to computers, which are no longer in service and have all expired. B) When I try to view properties or install license I get the following error "The Licensing Wizard cannot connect to the License Server Registry. Check the Network Connection and retry the Operation. Message = 0x35" I found information on this error at MS article # 276141, but the resolutions steps did not seem to help. C) I have another system that has windows 2003 terminal server and if I use terminal server licensing to connect to it I do not get any error accessing the properties or if I try to add a license. Also If I go to the 2003 machine and I use Terminal server licensing on it I get the same problem, I can access and install license on the 2003 machine, but I can do neither on the W2K machine. What I need to know is how I can fix it so I can get the individual off of his Temporary License which expires in a couple of days. I cannot even install a new license if I wanted too because of the Terminal Server Licensing problem. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Glenn |
