Localhost and ip address

I installed apache2.X.X and it is working fine. when I type localhost
on browser I get my page but when I type www.mydomain.com then I don't
get any thing. When I type the IP address then I get the page again.

I have been using no-ip domain name for re-direction to my machine. Do
I have to set up DNS or not if I do have to set up dns then please let
me know what I am missing here.

Actually, I have dial up for right now. I am using no-ip as domain.
