Want to write an Apache Module

Hello Dears

i never wrote or worked using Apche API's actually i want to write a
apache server plug-in... i dont know how to start no example i can
found can't get build apache source getting errors of zlib.

i m using windowXP and having apache server install... i need a quick
tutor "how to write apche server plug-in"....
please if anyone can help me in this regards..

Flash before i start code i need to setup the required tools and made
some configuration i just need to know what what software or utility is
required and how all of them integrate. to get a working
envoirnment..... i m using windowXp, and use vistual studio 2003...
