ok so i run apache in windows XP it works fine and all, i can see it
working when i typed in my IP... but if other people see it on WAN they get webpage cannot be displayed but the address seem to be working fine for all my LAN computers.. im running NIS as my firewall... any ideas how i can get it working with my firewall on?? o_O? i already set the permission for apache.exe to accept connections from outside but it seems that other computers from WAN cant access the address ^^; |

First how are you connected to the internet ?
Cable/DSL modem--router------your PC | ------ Other PC's if thats the case then you need to do a port forwarding in your cable/DSL modem. If you are running your server on port 80 then make sure you forward 80 to the IP of your computer. Once that is done go to www.ipchicken.com. The Ip number you see on this site will be the one used to access your server from WAN. |
