Default No listening sockets available ...

I'm trying to run Apache 2.0.49 on a Windows 2000 Processional SP 2
machine, but my Apache executable refuses to run, complaining about
"no listening sockets available"

Does anyone know how to get around this error?

Sure, shut down the other software that is using the port Apache wants to use!

If you have changed the port, then Apache will try to use port 80, but if you
are running Microsoft's IIS or a file sharing application like Kaza, then port
80 will not be available.
