I have a Windows 2000 server that is a DC, DCHP, WINS and DNS server.
When a workstation logs on to the domain, it gets all the IP Addresses, like IP, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and WINS. But the server does not hand out an IP for the DNS server, which is itself. If I hard code an IP address for the DNS in the workstations, they run without any problems. However, the DNS address to the server mentioned above is not sent out with the rest of the DHCP IPs by default. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Howard |

It will hand out an IP for the WINS and DHCP but does not hand out the IP Address for itself as the DNS server. |

You are likely to receive much more useful replies elsewhere. Thor -- http://thorweb.anta.net/ |
