Apache 1.3 and MS Load Balancing

I am new to Apache but have setup network load balancing on Windows
2000 servers using IIS. Can someone tell me if Apache 1.3 will run in
a Windows Server 2003, load balanced environment? I have not been able
to find any documentation on this type of configuration.
