Directories are not loading in win32 - HELP

Hello,

I have Apache 1.3.27 installed in my XP computer along with PHP,
MySQL, CGI, etc. The problem is that when I enter http://localhost/dir
will not load directory dir. But when I enter http://localhost/dir/
the directory dir loads. How may I fix this?
