http 500 error

Hi
I'm a new apache user and I tried to install
apache_2.0.45-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
in windows 2000.
everything was going well until i finish my installation but when i
tried to access http://localhost, my browser says "http 500 - internal
server error"
what is the problem? somebody please help me~
I'm using IE 6.0.2800.1106
