Default Apache cannot find passwd,pwd
Dispite all effort apache cannot find and open my passwd.pwd file for auth
of a folder.
,htaccess played with it and also am sure the path to file is correct.
anyone got authorization working with apache on windos 2000 if so please
advise! Thanks in advance.

Make shure it is the fukk path starting from:
<drive>/folder/subfolder/root/files/.passwd

Thats works for me
