Default Apache server on Windows...

Hi,
can anyone help my with the .htaccess files... They don't work.
I heard once that .htaccess files only can be used on unix servers!
Is that right?

Anyways I'm running Apache 2.0.46 on Windows 2003 Server

No they work!
Set this "AllowOverride None" to this "AllowOverride all"
for the documentroot and you set.
if you like you can even enable it on one folder only.
