No Go .. server does not answer my server.
You may want to check XPs internal firewall .. make sure you have SMTP checked in it to allow it through. Your MX record came back with an IP ... 24.something ... make sure it is correct. Give this a try ans see if they show your port stealthed. www.grc.com ... go to "shields up" and do a port scan. If you can get web and ftp working .. I doubt mindspring is blocking just the smtp port. I'm going to say check that firewall in XP .. chances are it is the problem.
