Thanks,
I have found some domains that I cannot access with Squid, using any web browser. However, with the Squid Client I can access these domains. I applied the changes specified below, but they seem to have only fixed the problem a little bit, if that much. Thanks anyway, Jason ----Original Message Follows---- From: "David O" <rdavido@hotmail.com> To: northstarweb@msn.com, squid-users@squid-cache.org Subject: RE: [squid-users] Squid DNS Problem Date: Wed, 31 Dec 2003 21:48:46 +0000 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Originating-IP: [216.99.210.130] X-Originating-Email: [rdavido@hotmail.com] X-Sender: rdavido@hotmail.com Received: from squid-cache.org ([206.168.0.9]) by mc6-f31.hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713); Wed, 31 Dec 2003 14:03:06 -0800 Received: (qmail 2700 invoked by uid 1007); 31 Dec 2003 22:00:28 -0000 Received: (qmail 2688 invoked from network); 31 Dec 2003 22:00:28 -0000 X-Message-Info: JGTYoYF78jEJ4ytYlMJoZe0Kg0GIo93E Mailing-List: contact squid-users-help@squid-cache.org; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk List-Post: <mailto:squid-users@squid-cache.org> List-Help: <mailto:squid-users-help@squid-cache.org> List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:squid-users-unsubscribe@squid-cache.org> List-Subscribe: <mailto:squid-users-subscribe@squid-cache.org> Delivered-To: mailing list squid-users@squid-cache.org Message-ID: <BAY2-F139opQc3LiDB70005bc56@hotmail.com> X-OriginalArrivalTime: 31 Dec 2003 21:48:46.0715 (UTC) FILETIME=[DE1A0CB0:01C3CFE7] Return-Path: squid-users-return-38819-northstarweb=msn.com@squid-cache.org First, test to make sure the URL can be retrieved normally. Use the squid client to test the URLs you are having problems with. Info on how to do this is in the faqs and docs. I had a similar problem on Linux and was able to get around it by changing how long squid remembers negative responses: negative_ttl 1 minutes negative_dns_ttl 1 minutes Don't forget to clear your browser cache and wait the minute for it to forget the negative response!
