Default RE: [squid-users] Squid DNS Problem

Thanks,

I have found some domains that I cannot access with Squid, using any web
browser. However, with the Squid Client I can access these domains. I
applied the changes specified below, but they seem to have only fixed the
problem a little bit, if that much.

Thanks anyway,
Jason

First, test to make sure the URL can be retrieved normally. Use the squid
client to test the URLs you are having problems with. Info on how to do
this is in the faqs and docs.

I had a similar problem on Linux and was able to get around it by changing
how long squid remembers negative responses:

negative_ttl 1 minutes
negative_dns_ttl 1 minutes

Don't forget to clear your browser cache and wait the minute for it to
forget the negative response!
