Default RE: [squid-users] out.offset=0

The server is broken and most often fails to return the full response when
receiving a HTTP/1.0 request.

There is nothing Squid can do about this. The problem does not only affect
Squid but any HTTP/1.0 application trying to access that server.

It should be noted than even when receivig a HTTP/1.1 query the server
does not always work properly. Quite often it hangs in the middle of a
response. On HTTP/1.1 queries it most often (but not always) recovers
after about 5 seconds, but if receiving a HTTP/1.0 query it most often
simply closes the connection when this happens (but sometimes it does
recover).

Someone who needs to have this service running needs to contact Yahoo and
tell them their server is not working correctly. I can help by providing
technical proof the server is malfunctioning but I can not help with
correcting the problem. Most likely there is a load balancer or the like
which is malfunctioning.

Regards
Henrik
