OK second problem : Squid authenticating against the Novell tree via
LDAP. IE Clients under OSX are asked to authenticate normally, but once they have authenticated they go direct to the site I get these two lines in the access.log 1058845687.581 6 131.170.173.14 TCP_DENIED/407 1771 GET http://www.apple.com/ - NONE/- text/html 1058845697.578 1100 131.170.173.14 TCP_MISS/200 18141 GET http://www.apple.com/ e13601 DIRECT/17.254.0.91 text/html And thats the last I hear from IE on that machine, even though I'm surfing away merrily on it. I can quit IE and restart it, and it will still go direct without trying to authenticate. It'll go through the proxy for every request if I turn off authentication. I realise this is not technically a problem with squid, but I'm hoping someone here might have seen it Jase -- Jason Parlevliet - Technical Services Coordinator Faculty of Art Design and Communication RMIT University Ph: 9925 3808 Ave!
