We are using RedHat Linux 8.0 & it has been running for a long long long time,
highly reliable, secure, stable & fast.

Hi All,

I am planning to build squid proxy for our University on a couple of HP
(Intel) boxes. I was wondering which OS should I use so that proxy server
will be running at high performance and secure level . The OS which I am
considering are:

1) Red Hat 8
2 ) Red Hat 9
3) Intel Solaris 9
4) Other - please comment

I would appreciate if you would comment on it .
