RE: [squid-users] TWO Squid Processes are running!!

I always have two running.
/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid
(squid)

the main process is one showing the path. the other appears to be a child
process. Killing the parent, the child process will also die. Have never
investigated in full what the child process is for.

We have two of them running here...always have:

root S 20:23:03 0:00 /usr/local/squid/sbin/squid
proxy S 20:23:03 0:07 (squid)
