Barry,

What code did you enter to get the download? I entered this link for my
oinkmaster and this what I get:

Loading /usr/local/etc/oinkmaster.conf.
Downloading rules archive from

/usr/local/bin/oinkmaster.pl: Error: integrity check on gzip file failed
(file transfer failed or file in URL not in gzip format?).

Oink, oink. Exiting...

Got it working now. =20

The example on the new snort web site says the file name is
snortrules-snapshot-2_3.tar.gz, but apparently the correct file name is
snortrules-snapshot-2.3.tar.gz. I changed the filename now it's working
great.

Just got done registering on the new website and got my oinkmaster
download
code. But it doesn't seem to be working.

The first time I tried I got this:

Figured out I had typed the code in wrong. Corrected the code and now I
get
this:

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 500 Internal Server Error
10:38:58 ERROR 500: Internal Server Error.

Here is the command I'm using:
wget http://www.snort.org/pub-bin/oinkmaster.cgi/oink code
here/snortrules-snapshot-2_3.tar.gz

Not sure if I should post my oink code, but I double/triple check to
make
sure I entered it right.
