[Snort-users] Can't login Honeynet Security Console for Snort database

Hi,

I installed HSC in WinXP.
I have my mysql snort database setup in FreeBSD, and used acid to verify that snort is able to pushing alerts to mysql database and get displayed by Acid.

The following is the login detail of of mysql:
database: snort
login id: root
port is standard 3306
IP of mysql database is 192.168.4.4

the IP of Winxp is 192.168.4.78

When HSC pop up a login dialog box,
I enter the following login info:
User name: root
passsword: same as login from Acid
IP: 192.168.4.4
Port 3306
Database name: changed aw_hsc to snort

But there is error when I press the Login button.
The error is Error "Logging into Database".

Does anyone know how to trace or fix this error?
