I do not have a ld.so.conf in my /etc directory? In fact I don't have =
that
file anywhere - yet my snort installed correctly and so did my pcre?? =20

Make sure your libpcre.so is in a directory that ld.so.conf will look =
in.=20
If libpcre is in /usr/local/lib, it might not be found by the loader.=20
