Hi,
I regularly use SNMP to monitor cpu, memory, disk use and network activity. Just trying to do the same on RHEL 5.1 which runs NET-SNMP 5.3.1 and it faies to retrieve any network data. On looking in the logs I see the following each time mrtg is run against the server. Mar 28 06:45:46 xxxx snmpd[5504]: netsnmp_assert "cache" == "valid" failed mibII/tcp.c:205 tcp_handler() Mar 28 06:45:46 xxxx snmpd[5504]: netsnmp_assert "cache" == "valid" failed mibII/tcp.c:205 tcp_handler() If I run an snmp walk to the same machine it eventually fails and snmpd then loops and hundreds of thousands of messages are logged. Snmpd is unresponsive and I have to restart it. Any ideas?
