I want to know how to configure the net-snmp to give me informations about my database (oracle or mysql or.....) like the capacity of the disk used by it and to send me a trap if it used more than a limited capacity. I want to know just how to start ?? ah another question , do some softwares like zabbix or bixdata help to monitor those things ? thanks 2008/3/14, Mike Ayers <mike_ayers@tvworks.com>: > > > > From: net-snmp-users-bounces@lists.sourceforge.net > > [mailto:net-snmp-users-bounces@lists.sourceforge.net] On > > Behalf Of snmp girl > > Sent: Friday, March 14, 2008 2:01 AM > > > after configuring the net-snmp and testing sending traps , > > now I want to start using it in monitoring my bdd ( sql > > server or mysql). > > do u have any ideas , how to start it? > > for example , should I install some softs or configuring some > > files or something else? > > We recently had posts from a couple of folk who wanted to SNMP > manage their MySQL installations.
