Good, good. I take it the "Oracle Master Agent" is installed
but not enabled as part of the database install, correct? Which OS are
you on?

- Yes it is. The "gotcha" is that you need to log into the SQL server
and run catsnmp.sql to create some new items in the DB. You then need to
run a listener from the command line for the DB to respond to the agent.
Both those two points were not in the official documentation.
OS = Solaris, DB = Oracle.

Microsoft's SNMP agent is pre-installed in most versions of
Windows. It's been around awhile. I don't know the details, but I
believe a DLL and server registration during install are sufficient to
enable the MIB.

- From what I have read, if you have snmp installed when you install MS
SQL then it will install too. We didn't but added it after. Now we are
trying to get it enabled post-install. Not found out how to yet.
