On issue I see is the bind failed, so do you already have something running=
on that socket?

And the duplicate registration is another problem.
I'd run ps -eaf |grep snmpd and kill -9 all of them and manually restart.

Look at your snmpd.conf file for the public entry.
Make sure you don't have the same names for read only and read write.
Make sure localhost is in your /etc/hosts table or use the IP address

Now if I can only get someone to attach a nice single index read-only or R/=
W table_data.conf example please?

Ed

Subject: Can't snmp anything (timeout) snmpd -f -Le error message

I just installed NET-SNMP for the first time but can't seem to poll anythin=
g from my sun server. I've been reading the how-to from
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/docs...E.solaris.html and http://chinait=
power.com/2005September/2005-09-13/208314.html
but can't seem to find the reason why i'm getting a time-out. Anybody have=
the same issue before? I've working with 5.4.1 and solaris 8

Thanks in advance.
