Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_Part_8665_31792381.1191514941661" ------=_Part_8665_31792381.1191514941661 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline I am attempting to install net-snmp version 5.4.1 on a debian based system, namely Ubuntu 7.0 Server (uname -r returns 2.6.20-15-server). I used wget to retrieve the source tarball from sourceforge, (I used sudo -s to root prior to configure/make) and ran ./configure which seemed to result in a successful configuration (I saw zero errors and the script completed successfully). So after that I ran make, and when make gets to the "Configuration Section", I am asked simple questions regarding version, administrator email address, and location of logs/configuration files/etc., and after that the script states that it needs to run configure.statusbecause something changed, which is all good and well (even though I already answered these questions during the run of ./configure). So it runs configure.status and then it asks me these questions again, and says it needs to run configure.status again -- so I'm stuck in an infinite loop for some reason when I run the make script and I don't understand why or how to fix the problem. Has anyone experienced a similar problem on Linux? net-snmp version: 5.4.1 Linux version: 2.6.20-15-server Thanks, -- Nathan Lane ------=_Part_8665_31792381.1191514941661 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline I am attempting to install net-snmp version 5.4.1 on a debian based system, namely Ubuntu 7.0 Server (uname -r returns 2.6.20-15-server).
