If you do mean 5.2 (and not 5.2.3), then this release is well
over two years old by now, and a *LOT* has changed since
then. In particular, I'm pretty sure we've addressed the
problems of byte-ordering since then.

I would suggest that you upgrade to a newer release - preferably
version 5.4. It is quite possible that this may fix the problems
you're having.
