Hello Friends,
Greetings.
I have question regarding validity check for following parameters which are
configurable
in snmpd.conf. validity check means
a) maximum number of allowed bytes
b) which character are allowed ? I want to know range of character in
allowed set for configuration.
means whether character / digit / special characters etc.
c) minimum number of character which must specify ?
(like for minimum 8 character passphrase we need to specify,
similarly what is range for others ? )
d) special format like in our C programming language for declaring
variable
format is (<Character>|<character|digit>*) i.e. first character
must be bet (a-z)
so for variable that i have said is there any rule ?

parameters which i need to check are
1) community string for v1/v2
2) user name for v3
3) passphrase (Auth/ Priv) for v3
4) sysContact
6) sysLocation
7) sysName

Please help me in this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Bhushan. E . Sonawane
