Hi
SNMPWalk supports -e and -E options for v3.

SNMP Version 3 specific
-a PROTOCOL set authentication protocol (MD5|SHA)
-A PASSPHRASE set authentication protocol pass phrase
-e ENGINE-ID set security engine ID (e.g. 800000020109840301)
-E ENGINE-ID set context engine ID (e.g. 800000020109840301)

In our device we are planning to support only one EngineID.

- can we support same value for -e and -E?
- What is the differnce between the two?

if we don't specify '-e' but specify '-E' , then does agent need to check only for -E value?

Also: what is the Max length of SnmpEngineID value?
is it 32 as defined in SNMP-FRAMEWORK-MIB?

is this 32 can be translated as max 64 digits?

appreciate your help.

thx
Subra
