Defining this object in NET-SNMP-MIB won't make any difference to whether mib2c loads the NET-SNMP-EXAMPLES-MIB or not. And if it doesn't then it can't generate code for this tree - even if it can understand the root name. You do *NOT* need to edit any of the MIB files.
