Subject: Problems with SNMP::Util

Hi,

I have installed net-snmp 5.0.3.1 and has perl 5.8.0 on my system. I have also installed the SNMP::Util perl module, but have encountered some problems.

When I tried to create the make file using "perl Makefile.PL", it gave the following error, but I was eventually able to install the Util.pm.

# perl Makefile.PL
Checking for SNMP, V1.8
You don't have installed the SNMP module, version 1.8 or later.

Enter the IP address of the Device: 0.0.0.0
Enter the SNMP community string: public

However, when I tried to execute the snmpwalk inside the /usr/local/src/SNMP-Util-1.8/examples/snmpwalk, it returned me with the following errors:

# ./snmpwalk

I do realized that this perl is somehow being compiled on Solaris 9, when the OS is Solaris 8. I am not sure if this is the cause of the problem.
