Hi,

Thank you for that answer.

I have a further question. It may seem a bit basic.

If I wish to install this compiled version on several similar RH machines,
would the easiest and best method be the following ?

tar cvf netsnmp_compiledversion.tar <net-snmp directory>

and then transfer tar on target machine:

tar xvf netsnmp_compiledversion.tar ???
