Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit hi all, I am trying to use VACM with v3 user in snmp daemon (agent running in Windows XP ) in the file /usr/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ createUser user01 SHA testing123 DES testing123 view view1 included .1 view view1 excluded .1.3.6.1.2.1.1 com2sec net1 default user01 group group1 v1 net1 group group1 v2c net1 group group1 usm net1 access group1 "" any authpriv exact view1 view1 view1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It seems nothing wrong but when I tried to query from the network manager, I always got "authorizationError" or " A authorization failed error occured" . I also tried to add "createUser" token into /user/snmp/persist/snmpd.conf but it did not help either. Anyone knows if any possible reason Thanks in advance and Happy New Year Wallace --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good - Make a difference this year. --0-376224385-1136259338=:92753 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit <DIV id=RTEContent>hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am trying to use VACM with v3 user in snmp daemon (agent running in Windows XP )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>in the file /usr/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf :</DIV> <DIV>------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</DIV> <DIV>createUser <EM>user01</EM> SHA testing123 DES testing123</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>view view1 included .1</DIV> <DIV>view view1 excluded .1.3.6.1.2.1.1</DIV> <DIV>com2sec net1 default <EM>user01</EM></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>group group1 v1 net1<BR>group group1 v2c net1<BR>group group1 usm net1</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>access group1 "" any authpriv exact view1 view1 view1</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It seems nothing wrong but when I tried to query from the network manager, I always got "authorization Error" or " A authorization failed error occured" .</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also tried to add "createUser" token into /user/snmp/persist/snmpd.conf but it did not help either. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone knows if any possible reason</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance and Happy New Year</DIV> <DIV>Wallace</DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p> <hr size=1>Yahoo! for Good - <a href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/mail_us/taglines/charity/*http://brand.yahoo.com/cybergivingweek2005/">Make a difference this year.</a> --0-376224385-1136259338=:92753-- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
