Hmmm.... OK - what other things should you check?

You don't show any of the commands used to build either
the main libraries, or the perl modules, but I'm a little
suspicious about the "Unrecognized argument" errors.

What compiler is being picked up for the two builds?
Is it the same both times?


The perl build seems to be complaining about 'libnetsnmp.so.9'
Is this file present? Where exactly is it?
Is the perl build looking in this location?

I'm a little rusty about the inner workings of 'ld',
but isn't there some secret incantation that's needed for
it to pick up a newly-installed library?

That's all that comes to mind at the moment.
