Default problem on connecting to remote host in windows

Hi all,

i still cant get the
agent reply to snmpget, set, walk, getnext etc. queries to a remotehost
under windows.
i have the problem that my queries end with a timeout no response from
the remote host.
I've a machine with win 2003 server and another machine with win xp pro
connected through a network cable. both have the net-snmp kit
installed. i can ping the machines and the queries like snmpget are
working for each machine itself well. but when i try to send a snmpget
query
through the network the timeout problem appears.
The snmpdtrap.log has following output:

2005-09-06 15:58:31 servermachine [UDP: [192.168.1.129]:1049]:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeIns**tance = Timeticks: (290748)
0:48:27.48
SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID:
SNMPv2-MIB::authenticationFail**ure
SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapEnterprise**.0 = OID:
NET-SNMP-MIB::netSnmpAgentOIDs**.13

I have configured the snmpd.conf file for each machine with the basic
setup.
this is for example the one for the win 2003
server:
