diferent snmp calls

hi!

i posted something related to this problem some time ago, but had no time to investigate till now.

the point is i have a Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 box with nagios and all checks through snmp goes ok except when i call one machine. the strangest thing is that i can perform same check from another machine with (aparently) same snmp version without problems.
in the RH box a simple snmpget to that machines gets

Timeout: No Response from 10.29.6.1.

but from my laptop i get a successfull response.
