configure the net-snmp package ...
when i made the root-filesystem i kept under some temp. /temp/rootfilesyste=
m/=A0directory and copy=A0only the files under=A0=A0/temp/rootfilesystem/=
=A0 like /temp/rootfilesystem/usr/ and /temp/rootfilesystem/etc to target .=
=A0
now when i am creating the user he is writing the user information to /var/=
net-snmp/snmpd.conf but the ro/rw user information not in /etc/snmpd.conf b=
ecause=A0of prefix he is using the same as we gave=A0for configuring net-sn=
mp package =A0(net-snmp-config --prefix=A0 /temp/rootfilesystem/etc/snmpd.c=
onf )
any solution for this !!!!!!

The SNMPv3 users need to be created in the /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf
file that the
remote agent will be reading (i.e. on the target system, not on the
client side).

But this is simply a text file, which you can edit in any way you wish.
You don't have to use the net-snmp-config script to do this.

Once you've got initial SNMPv3 users configured, you can use command-line t=
ools
(such as snmpusm) to create new users remotely.=A0 But the first batch of S=
NMPv3
users will need to be created on the target system itself.
