Thanks Dave ....
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 net-snmp-config use the same --prefix that i used to = configure the net-snmp package ... when i made the root-filesystem i kept under some temp. /temp/rootfilesyste= m/=A0directory and copy=A0only the files under=A0=A0/temp/rootfilesystem/= =A0 like /temp/rootfilesystem/usr/ and /temp/rootfilesystem/etc to target .= =A0 now when i am creating the user he is writing the user information to /var/= net-snmp/snmpd.conf but the ro/rw user information not in /etc/snmpd.conf b= ecause=A0of prefix he is using the same as we gave=A0for configuring net-sn= mp package =A0(net-snmp-config --prefix=A0 /temp/rootfilesystem/etc/snmpd.c= onf ) any solution for this !!!!!! The SNMPv3 users need to be created in the /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf file that the remote agent will be reading (i.e. on the target system, not on the client side). But this is simply a text file, which you can edit in any way you wish. You don't have to use the net-snmp-config script to do this. Once you've got initial SNMPv3 users configured, you can use command-line t= ools (such as snmpusm) to create new users remotely.=A0 But the first batch of S= NMPv3 users will need to be created on the target system itself.
