According to the comments in that tracker item, the container patch is meant as an *alternative* to the original shared-ip patch. I have no idea whether the two work together cleanly or not. I'm inclined to second Thomas' suggestion. Forget about patching the code yourself. Grab a copy of the net-snmp-svn-V5-3-patches.... tarball from http://www.net-snmp.org/nightly/tarballs/ At least that way we know you're working with a clean code base. Remove any existing Net-SNMP installations, configure, compile and install this, and then try your tests again. If they still don't work, please tell us *exactly* what requests you attempted, how the agent was configured, what you expected to see and what actually happened. Looking back through your earlier queries, they tend to be a bit light on detail, which makes it difficult for us to assist you.
