It's a side-effect of internal administrative changes within the Net-SNMP project. (Namely the switch from CVS to SVN) > Is it useful to change VC++ editor to XEmacs ? No. That wouldn't help. That editor is only relevant to code and header files. The problem lies with the project workspace files, which are created automatically by VC++ itself. These did originally have the correct format, but became corrupted as part of the CVS->SVN switch. That has now been fixed, and the next tarballs should be recognised OK. There's no need to switch editor (and it wouldn't help anyway).
