Yes - I already said that I knew that would be the case.
I was particularly interested in whether this fixed the timeout
problem, which was the fundamental issue that you'd raised.

Now we know this fix deals with that underlying problem, we can come
up with a better fix to deal with things properly.

But it wasn't worth wasting time doing that, if this approach didn't
address the main problem.
