since the pluralization seems unneeded

the final proposal is

net-snmp/doc/rfc/...

to help prevent carpal-tunnel-syndrome

Under docs would be good.
It'd also be handy for packagers to build a package just for the docs
(and now rfcs) ...
e.g. net-snmp-docs-5.3.10
