Thanks for submitting them. Unfortunately, they won't make it into
5.3.1 but they should for 5.3.2.

We should upgrade to the latest libtool, you're absolutely right. If
we do that (should be yes), we'll have to have a discussion about the
right branches to apply the change to... I'd argue for all but I'm
interested in opinions of other coders too.
