snmptranslate reports that ifAdminStatus has *maximum* permissions
of read-write. This means that it is _permissible_ for an agent to support
SET requests for this object, not that a particular agent necessarily does.
Read-Write is allowed, not compulsory. It is quite feasible (even common)
for a given agent to just implement read-only access.

As Thomas suggests, try the 5.3.1 pre-release, which has a completely
re-written version of this particular MIB.
