This might actually be the problem since net-snmp-5.2.1-12.rpm and =
net-snmp-lib-5.2.1-12.rpm are installed as part of Fedora Core 4. I did =
not notice that, only that the net-snmp-utils package was not installed. =
The problem is that I cannot easily remove them since there are =
dependencies to other package that are installed (kdeutils/hpoj). But =
why does the SNMP perl installation use these libraries and not the ones =
I have specified with the configure script?

These are the two I have found that were missing.
