Hello,

I am looking for some help in resolving a problem with snmpwalk.

A query to get any characteristic of the lo device on a Compaq Proliant
585 64
bit system results in a timeout. =20

My customer is running the following snmp rpms:

net-snmp-cmaX-utils-5.1.2-220-x86_64
net-snmp-cmaX-libs-5.1.2-220-x86_64
net-snmp-cmaX-perl-5.1.2-220-x86_64
net-snmp-cmaX-5.1.2-220-x86_64
net-snmp-cmaX-devel-5.1.2-220-x86_64

The problem occurred when they upgraded from RH V7.3 to RHES v3.0 update
4.

The customer is using snmpwalk to query for data. The following
command
results in a timeout when it attempts to hit the 127.0.0.1 address:

snmpwalk -v1 -c public localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.1

I am at a loss to figure out why this is failing. I cannot reproduce
the problem
but I do not have a similar hardware platform on which to reproduce it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
