Sorry to be a pain, but can anyone help me with this as it's starting to
bug the hell out of me. Adam -----Original Message----- From: samba-bounces+adam.stirk=brantano.co.uk@lists.samba.org [mailto:samba-bounces+adam.stirk=brantano.co.uk@lists.samba.org] On Behalf Of Adam Stirk Sent: 15 November 2008 14:51 To: samba@lists.samba.org Subject: [Samba] Samba + Vista Issue Importance: High Hi, I'm experiencing a problem with samba v3.2.4 and windows vista. If I access my samba share via the ip address e.g. \\192.168.0.1\share windows will authenticate against the samba server and bring the share up, but if I use the dns name e.g. \\server.domain.local\share i'm faced with the logon box. I am able to logon with the user I have created, but I find this annoying as it works one way but not another. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
