Actually, I found the following message, which may
answer my question, if it still holds true - http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba...ry/080474.html. Since I am using pass through authentication (I tried joining it to the domain at my company, but was told it wasn't allowed), I have security=server in the smb.conf.
