This is the error from the sender that causes the disconnect. Thus, the
disconnect is not unexpected (it may be to the receiving side of rsync,
but that's beside the point). Since the data corruption occurred in the
data going from the generator to the sender, I assume that this is the
protocol corruption bug that was fixed in newer versions of rsync. I'd
suggest upgrading to 2.6.6.
