Default [rrd-users] Library Optimization

Hi,

I am using rrdtool on my embedded arm platform. I love it. I am using
older 1.0.45 because of toolchain issues with ieee match.

In this version, the zlib, and png libraries are included with the source
and compiled into the shared library.

I am hoping someone can give me some tips to get my lib size down. Currently
after stripping it, it is still 622 K, which is quite large.

I am using shared libraries but could use static if that would help.

Thanks in advance,
